Embroidered Lengha

Fine Nepalese handicraft: pretty lengha made out of handwoven linen, decorated with embroidery and little mirrors. Comes in two colors.



Note
This clothes are Nepalese "export quality". Nepalese tailors are highly skilled in sewing and embroidering beautiful clothes for tourists or exportation. A lengha is not a typical Nepalese garment.

The lengha is a traditional Indian garment worn originally by Indian women from the state of Rajasthan. It's composed of a blouse (choli) and a long skirt.

Background
The salwar kameez is a traditional women's garment which is worn in India, Nepal and Pakistan amongst other countries. It's composed of three parts: a long shirt (sameez), wide trousers (salwar) and a scarf (dupata).

The Edelweiss is one of the best-known European mountain flowers. It grows in Nepalese Himalaya regions as well.
