Indian-Bavarian Edelweiss Sari

A multicultural dress, especially created for the Yak & Yeti branch in Munich SL. The traditional Indian silk sari is decorated with typical Bavarian Edelweiss blossoms.

Background
A sari is worn by Hindi women all over the world. It's is a long piece of cloth about a meter wide and up to 6 meters long. A sari is draped over a long skirt and a tight fitting blouse (choli).
The Edelweiss is one of the best-known European mountain flowers. It grows in Nepalese Himalaya regions as well.
